We built an agent skill for document processing on top of this standard — it was a great fit since the SKILL.md convention means zero config for the user.
The skill gives any compatible agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.) the ability to convert, OCR, extract, redact, sign, and fill PDFs via the Nutrient DWS API. Drop it in and ask your agent "redact all SSNs from report.pdf" — it just works.
What we found interesting: the skills approach was way easier to adopt than MCP for this use case. We maintain an MCP server too, but the SKILL.md file is simpler for users who just want document ops without configuring transport protocols.
